Position Overview:

Will be required to perform complex and diverse duties in support of the business and lead a group of individuals. They will provide administrative support for multiple programs (ie. different functions of David’s Vacation Club Rentals, Members, Guests, Staff). Lead, coach, and motivate the team to achieve customer service goals at the department level. Anticipate and initiate actions regarding office operations which require knowledge of the business and other departments such as The Disney Vacation Club, Disney Travel, Disney World and other subcategories. Requires analysis and strong problem-solving skills for a variety of situations and determine the appropriate course of action.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Team Leader will be responsible for supporting their team of Vacation Coordinators and Senior Vacation Coordinators. Utilizing strong leadership skills the Team Leader will assist the team in achieving the organization and personal goals set out. The Team Leader will focus on improving team performance by assessing the team's strengths and opportunities and assist individuals in developing plans to bridge any gaps. Ultimately this role will be responsible and accountable for the success of their team. Annual written assessments will be conducted by the Team Leader for each of their team members and present this to the Director of Operations for approval. Included in the annual assessment, Team Leaders will make recommendations based on the performance management process if employees are eligible for pay increases.

Additional Job Duties

  • Set expectations for each member of the Vacation Coordinator team and ensure team members meet expectations
  • Address customer complaints and concerns that have been escalated in a timely and professional manner
  • Actively represent the Vacation Coordinators at departmental meetings
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and client retention levels
  • Create a safe environment for the discussion and resolution of values-related issues and concerns
  • Administer disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures in the absence of the Director of Operations
  • Oversee staff to ensure work is being performed according to established standards
  • Participate in departmental planning activities
  • Plan the department's daily workload and flow

Job Requirements

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma
  • Two years of experience in a management role and five years of experience in customer service
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Proven ability to solve complex and unique customer service problems
  • Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance
  • Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations
  • Ability to initiate and model positive change

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $36,400.00 to $39,500.00 /year
